Digital reading fits many moments: a journey, a break, an evening when adjusting the font size makes reading more comfortable. It allows several texts to travel without filling a bag and makes returning to an unfinished page easy.
In Camille Valden’s publishing project, EPUB and PDF are part of this pursuit of accessibility. The first lets text adapt to the screen and reader settings; the second retains a fixed layout. These uses do not involve holding a book in the same way, but they open the same story.
Connection around the text remains essential. A review sent after reading, a question about a character or a discussion at an event extends the experience beyond the downloaded file.
Digital reading does not prevent closeness. It moves some points of contact while preserving what gives a novel life: someone writes it, someone reads it, and a conversation can begin.
